THE VILLAGES OF VALPOLICELLA . Situated to the northwest of Verona, bordered to the North by the Lessinia hills, to the east by the Valpaltena valley and to the west and south by the Adige river, the Valpolicella covers the valleys of Negrar, Marano, Fumane and other minor down slopes towards the River Adige. The Valpolicella area covers 5 villages: Negrar, Marano, Fumane, Sant'Ambrogio, all on the Pedemontese slopes, and San Pietro in Cariano which is on a flatter area.
Villa Spinosa can be found in this picturesque setting, in one of the best areas for the production of Valpolicella Classica between Negrar and Marano.
The villages of Negrar and Marano in Valpolicella both have a similar morphology. Both in fact extend from the hilly slopes of the Valpolicella up to the higher areas and offer a variety of landscapes and atmospheric settings in each season of the year.
