ROBERTO PULIERO AND "IL PALIO DI VERONA" . Roberto Puliero comes back to Villa Spinosa on 8th June 2010 with his monologue “Il Palio di Verona” (The Verona's horse race). The event is part of a tour of several dates take will take in the province and in the city centre. .
The show is based on the book by Marino Zampieri “Il Palio, il porco ed il gallo – la corsa el il rito del drappo verde fra duecento e Trecento” (The race, the pork and the cock – the race and the green drape traditon between the XIII and XVIII century in Verona) about the horse race in Verona (palio) that characterized the Veronese life in the past centuries, being so famous to be mentioned by Dante in the famous poem “La Divina Commedia”. .
The show is produced by Leonardo Rebonato for Mecenati s.a.s. with the contribution of the Culture and Veronese Identity Department. .
